Surprise! Beer isn’t just there for drinking. It can easily remove certain stains out of carpets as well. Tea or coffee stains are a thing of the past. You can easily lift it out by pouring some beer on it. All you do is you rub the beer lightly over the stain and into the material, and then the stain should disappear completely. You might have to repeat the process a few times in order to it to work, depending on how tough the stain is.
Vinegar is known to be the superhero of cleaning and it is no different when it comes to carpet cleaning. It has the ability to remove different types of stains. For light carpet stains, mix ½ cup of vinegar with 2 tablespoons of salt. Let it dissolve and rub it over the stain, let it dry and then vacuum. For larger or darker stains, repeat the process but add 2 tablespoons Borax. For tough soil trapped in the carpet, make a paste of 1 tablespoon vinegar and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Rub it into the carpet and let it set for 2 days before vacuuming.
You don’t need a razor for this one! Shaving cream is very effective in removing all sorts of stains right out of your carpet, especially juice. Blot the stain, pat it with a wet sponge, put some shaving cream on it, and wipe it off with a damp sponge. You can also use shaving cream to get oil and grease out of the carpet. Work the cream into the stain, let it dry, and rub it off with a damp cloth. Easy!
